Norwegian will increase the connectivity between Stockholm Arlanda Airport and the northern part of Norway by launching a new route to Tromsø.

Starting on October 31st, Norwegian will operate the route twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays.

Norwegian continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and their latest addition to the routes already on offer from the airport will be Tromsø in the northern part of Norway.

Tromsø is the largest city in Northern Norway and is located 350 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle.

The beautiful city offers many attractions with magnificent nature experiences and a wide range of activities such as hiking and whale watching.

During the winter months between September and March, you can experience the northern lights, and during the period May to July, the midnight sun makes for magnificent adventures.

Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia says: “Norwegian has a longstanding presence at Swedavias airports and I’m delighted that they continue to expand by adding new, exciting destinations to their vast network of routes.

“Norway is a very popular destination for many reasons, and we are happy to increase the connectivity to Tromsø from Stockholm Arlanda Airport, says she.”

Magnus Thome Maursund, Commercial Director at Norwegian says: “Tromsø and the northern part of Norway holds a great interest for international travellers, with its powerful nature experiences, northern lights, fjord cruises, whale watching and much more.

“Therefore, it’s very gratifying that we now can offer travellers in Sweden direct flights from Stockholm Arlanda to Tromsø and we look forward to welcoming travellers on board”.
