Fabio Gamba is a seasoned manager in Air Transport, with more than 20 years in the industry. Gamba started his career at the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation (CANSO) upon his return to Geneva in the late 90s, then joined The Boeing Company as a Deputy Director Air Traffic Management in Brussels. Gamba proceeded with the position of Deputy SG of the now defunct Association of European Airlines (AEA), before leading the European Business Aviation Association (EBAA) during six years until 2016. He is currently managing two Associations in parallel, namely the Airline Catering Association (ACA) based in Belgium, and the Airport Services Association (ASA) based in Switzerland.

Undertaking several positions at various airlines and ground handling companies in Turkey, and abroad, Erna re-joined Havaş in 2014 and continued his role in sales, marketing, and business development operations. Erna worked as the Deputy General Manager in charge of Sales and Marketing since October 2017 and was assigned as Acting General Manager of Havas from July 1st, 2020, and as General Manager as from October 1st, 2020.

Warwick Brady was appointed President & CEO of Swissport International as of 1 May 2021. Prior to joining Swissport, Warwick was the CEO of Esken Limited, formerly Stobart Group, a British infrastructure, aviation and energy company with operations in the UK and Ireland. He served as Chief Operating Officer at easyJet for nearly eight years and was part of the leadership team that transformed the airline into a FTSE 100 business. His previous roles include the posts as Chief Executive Officer of Mandala Airlines in Indonesia, Chief Operating Officer at Air Deccan/Kingfisher in India and Deputy Operations Director at Ryanair plc. He previously held board positions at Airline Group and NATS and was Deputy CEO of Buzz.

Luis Felipe de Oliveira has led Airports Council International (ACI) World as Director General since June 2020, applying his vast experience in commercial and technical aviation. Luis Felipe’s career in aviation began after serving 12 years at Shell (Latin America and Europe) when he joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Switzerland to lead fuel and airport campaigns. Oliveira’s service at IATA lasted a decade before joining the World Fuel Services as Vice President of Supply Development for Latin America and Caribbean.

In 2002, Papamichail joined Goldair Handling SA, as the first Station Manager of Thessaloniki International Airport “Makedonia”, achieving top operational and financial performance. In 2010, Papamichail was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Goldair Handling SA for Greece and Bulgaria, Papamichail is a Board member of the Cypriot JV “LGS” (Louis Goldair Services), a Board member of the Swiss JV “Goldair AAS Assistance” in Zurich, Board member of “ground.net alliance” and a member of “CEO Clubs Greece”.

Thomas Romig joined Airports Council International (ACI) in November 2020 as Vice President Safety, Security and Operations. Romig heads up all advocacy efforts and programme areas related to airport operations – ranging from Airside Safety and Capacity through to Cargo, Facilitation and Security and across into Innovation and IT. Prior to this, Romig held a number of senior leadership positions at Geneva Airport in Switzerland, both in Safety and then Operations. Over the years Romig has been strongly involved in ICAO and EASA regulatory activities as a representative of the airport’s community through ACI.

Burak Kurt has been part of the air cargo and ground handling industry for over 20 years. Kurt is currently Group Chief Operating Officer – Cargo at National Aviation Services. Before joining NAS, Kurt has held various positions such as CEO – Cargo, Regional Director, Cargo Director and more. In his current role, Kurt provides both vision and leadership while charting a direction of growth for the business. Aside from his work experience, Kurt holds a degree as a civil engineer and dual MBAs from two significant universities in Turkey.

Nick Careen leads IATA’s work on safety, security, and operations, including airports, fuel supply, passenger experience, cargo and ground handling. Before joining IATA in 2015, Careen was Vice President of Airports, Call Centres and Customer Relations for Air Canada. Careen built his career in Air Canada and its subsidiary Jazz, where he managed various aspects of airport operations, including Inflight, Flight Operations, Operations Control and Maintenance. Careen brings a wealth of experience covering all facets airline operations, human resource management, labour, and government relations.

Hassan El-Houry is a business executive, emerging markets thought leader, and Chairman of Menzies Aviation - the world leader in aviation services. He previously headed National Aviation Services (NAS) as Group CEO, which was combined with Menzies Aviation following an acquisition by NAS’s parent company, Agility. In 2014, the WEF honored him as a Young Global Leader (YGL) for his work in aviation and emerging markets, and he was invited to join the YGL Alumni Advisory Board. During the pandemic, NAS launched the world’s first Covid passport to facilitate travel and offered free online courses to aviation professionals across the globe to help them remain resilient through the crisis.

Christian Bergfelder is the Senior Director Network Airside & Airport Affairs for DHL Express in Europe. Bergfelder filled several Management positions in the Aviation Industry, with a strong focus on Ground Handling and Cargo Operations, including that of Station Manager in Frankfurt, Dusseldorf and Cologne for Swissport International. Bergfelder is a member of the IATA Cargo Handling Council and the IATA GOS Team Training, as well as being a long-term Member & Chair of the IATA Aviation Ground Service Agreements (AGSA-SGHA) Technical Group. Bergfelder also supports the IATA Ground Operations Team as an external Instructor for different Courses.

Aravanis graduated in Economics and Political science from Athens Kapodistrian University.

Panos Nicolaidis has over 30 years in the airline business and has been working for Aegean Airlines Ground Operations for the last 23 years starting as Station Manager from 1999 until 2005, then as Airport Services Manager until 2010, Ground Operations Director until 2020 and since then as Chief Ground Operations Officer. Nicolaidis is the nominated person for Ground Operations in Aegean. He served as a member of IATA Aviation Ground Services Agreements Task Force (AGSA) until 2021. Nicolaidis is currently a member of IATA Ground Operations Group (GOG).

Patricia has held different positions across Operations, before moving to take on a number of Groupwide roles in 2015. For the past four years, Patricia has been the Group’s Head of Procurement for Ground Operations and Cargo, and has recently been appointed to SVP Airports – MEA and APAC, responsible for transforming operations at airports. Prior to joining WFS, Clark was Head of Ground Operations Quality & Training with British Airways, overseeing safety and regulatory compliance for aircraft and cargo handling services, both insourced and outsourced, across main hub and line stations globally. Clark has sat on various industry groups and committees including ISAGO Oversight Committee, IATA Ground Operations Group, ASA Task Forces and the UK CAA’s GHOST group.

Eduard Ciofu joined EASA as the coordinator of the EU SAFA Programme. Since 2015, Ciofu has managed the Air Operations Standards Section in EASA, which is responsible for drafting requirements addressing the entire spectrum of air operations. Ciofu is managing the project Return to Normal Operations, launched by EASA to support the European member states and industry to cope and recover swiftly and safely from the pandemic. Since July 2020, Ciofu has been the Head of the Air Operations Department, responsible for rulemaking and standardisation in the field of air operations and aerodromes, SAFA Programme and TCO.

Alan Glen has been with Menzies since 2018 supporting growth of the rapidly growing Menzies cargo business by setting their internal cargo standards. Previously Glen spent 22 years with Cathay Pacific Airways based in Hong Kong where his ultimate position was that of General Manager Cargo Services. In this role he was responsible for the safety and security of the worldwide cargo operations of Cathay Pacific and Dragonair. Furthermore,  Glen was responsible for delivering operational and service performance, as well as quality assurance, supplier and contract management, and the development of the airlines’ e-freight capabilities.

Matt Chaffin is vice president and general manager, ground support equipment for Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. Chaffin leads the company’s ground support equipment business, which designs, manufactures and sells GSE equipment for the aviation industry under the TUG, Safeaero, Premier and Douglas brands. Textron GSE’s diverse product line includes aircraft pushbacks, baggage and cargo tractors, belt loaders, de-icers, and air-starts, and its products are used by major airlines and at airports the world over. Prior to joining Textron GSE, Chaffin worked in multiple leadership roles at major manufacturers across the aviation industry and beyond. His experience comprises cross-functional roles in numerous disciplines including director of aircraft assembly, manager of labor relations and front-line manufacturing leadership.

He spent the last 18 years at Agility Logistics where he was most recently SVP Global Business Development & Global Lead Digital Customer Solutions. Esa was responsible for shaping & executing Agility’s commercial strategy including building and scaling solution driven, strategic customer relationships. In his digital role, he was working on deploying emerging technology solutions including IOT, Blockchain and enhanced Supply Chain Visibility to improve the customer experience. Previously, he was Agility’s Chief Executive Officer & SVP of UAE, Oman & Bahrain.

Nadia Kaddouri was appointed Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer of Swissport International AG on January 1st, 2022, reporting directly to the CEO. In her role, Kaddouri focuses on implementing Swissport's strategic roadmap and leads the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda. In addition, she heads the Office of the CEO. Kaddouri joined Swissport in 2014 as Senior Integration Manager and was soon appointed Group Business Controller and subsequently SVP Group FP&A. In 2019, she became CFO of Swissport's EMEA region before stepping into the role of Chief of Staff in 2021. Prior to Swissport, Kaddouri managed the sales process of Servisair and was Regional Controller of Eastern Europe at Azelis.

He started his career in aviation in 1998 at HOCHTIEF AirPort GmbH, where he took on various responsibilities at the airport holdings in Düsseldorf and Athens. In the Greek capital, he was involved in commissioning and opening the new airport. From 2008 until his move to Munich, Lammers managed Budapest Liszt Ferenc Airport as CEO. For two years starting in June 2019, he served as president of Airports Council International (ACI) Europe, the European umbrella association for international commercial airports. Since June 2022 Jost Lammers has been the president of the German Aviation Association (BDL).

Also served as the Chairman of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA), Miami from May, 2015 to October, 2017 and currently serves on the Board of ACFI, CELEBI, DAFFPL and DASPL.

Previously Yuting Fan was an Economist in the World Bank’s MENA Chief Economist’s Office, where she led and co-authored in flagship publication of MENA Economic Update and published academic papers. Before joining the World Bank, she worked at the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund, where she was in charge of IMF's Primary Commodity Price System, and co-authored in IMF flagship publication World Economic Outlook.

Today, Mark is a consulting editor at FlightGlobal, the editor of Airline Routes & Ground Services magazine, a contributing editor at Arabian and African Aerospace and anchor at Times Aerospace TV, and contributing editor for leading aviation sustainability website GreenAir News.

Dave Dorner was appointed to the role of Chief Executive Officer at Çelebi Aviation Holding in May 2017. Prior to his appointment as CEO, Dave was a member of the Board of Directors for 4 years as well as working as an Operating Partner of the private equity fund, Actera Group. Prior to joining Actera, Mr. Dorner was the Regional Head of Live Nation Entertainment and the CEO of Biletix, the largest event ticketing company in Turkey, which he co-founded in 2000 and later sold to Live Nation Entertainment in 2006. Prior to Biletix, Mr. Dorner had a 10 year tenure with Monitor Group where he also started his career. Mr. Dorner received a BA in Finance and Economics from the University of British Columbia.
