On the north-eastern Mediterranean coast of Morocco, Tétouan is popularly known as the “daughter of Granada” given its Hispano-Moorish roots.
The northern city is located just minutes from the modern Tamuda Bay, a 15-kilometre coastline stretch where travellers can enjoy water-based activities like jet-skiing, water skiing, windsurfing and sea kayaking.
Tamuda Bay is also home to Morocco’s very first medical-aesthetic spa, located within the Royal Mansour Tamuda Bay, where guests can experience cutting-edge treatments such as thalassotherapy.
Tétouan also places travellers within just over an hour’s drive from both Tangier – another vibrant and cosmopolitan port city, and Chefchaouen, Morocco’s incredibly photogenic “blue pearl”, making the coastal retreat a convenient entry point for exploring the northern parts of the country.
In 2025, Morocco welcomed a record breaking 19.8 million tourists, representing a 14% increase on 2024’s result.
The country aims to welcome well over 30 million tourists by 2030, when the country will co-host the FIFA World Cup.
