Russian govt commits more state money for Superjets

The Russian government has committed to further funds for operations of the Sukhoi Superjet program. The funds will see the 100 aircraft placed with local carriers.

The Russia state has allocated 9.8bn rubles from the federal budget to purchase Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft which will then be leased to Russian airlines with regional operations.

A statement by the Russian government stated that just under ten aircraft will be purchased.

The aircraft are due to be delivered during 2018 and 2019.
