Ryanair applies for permit to fly in UK in Brexit preparation

Ryanair has applied for an operating license to fly in the UK as the airline risks facing the fallout from a hard exit by Britain from the EU.

The airline has urged a new framework be put in place to ensure it does not have to ground planes and can ensure its domestic routes will still be flying in the UK.

The airline filed for the license just before Christmas as it has warned it could be classified as a ‘foreign’ airline after Brexit.
