Ryanair celebrated 20 million passengers at Torino Airport today (November 5), also welcoming the arrival of its third aircraft based at “Sandro Pertini” Airport.

Ryanair’s journey to Turin began in 1999 and, since then, the company has experienced significant growth, adding national and international routes and fostering the development of traffic, employment and tourism.

Ryanair invested significantly in Turin over the years, including the company’s third based aircraft, which represents an additional investment of $100 million.

Ryanair continues to promote year-round connectivity and tourism in Turin and Piedmont, operating a robust winter schedule this year with over 368 flights per week (+30% growth) on 31 routes.

This includes two new winter routes to Liverpool and Pescara, as well as increased frequencies on popular existing routes such as Dublin, London Stansted, Madrid, Marrakech and Trapani.

This offers to visitors and residents of Piedmont the unbeatable choice at the lowest prices when booking their winter trips.

Ryanair’s 2025/2026 winter schedule for Turin includes:

  • 3 aircraft based (new aircraft from November 2025) – a total investment of US$300M in Turin.
  • 31 routes, including 2 new ones: Liverpool and Pescara
  • Over 368 weekly flights (+30% growth)
  • 3 million passengers per year
  • Increased frequencies on popular routes, including Dublin, London Stansted, Madrid, Marrakech, and Trapani
  • Over 2,300 jobs supported

To celebrate 20 million passengers at Torino Airport and the arrival of its third based aircraft, Ryanair has launched a promotion with fares starting from just €21.99 to travel until March 2026 (to be booked by November 19, subject to availability).

Fabrizio Francioni, Head of Communications Italy at Ryanair, said: “Ryanair is delighted to celebrate over 20 million passengers in Turin, a significant milestone that demonstrates Ryanair’s continued growth and investment in Sandro Pertini Airport.

“We celebrated by offering Francesca Bellissimo, the 20 millionth passenger in Turin, a gift card to travel to any destination, inviting her to sit back, relax, and enjoy her flight with Ryanair.

“We worked closely with the SAGAT team to enable this growth, demonstrating that competitive rates and efficient operations are key to fostering development.

“Our partnership with Torino Airport began with our first flight from London Stansted to Turin in 1999. After 26 successful years, we are committed to continuing our growth in the region.

“To further consolidate this success and unlock even greater opportunities for aviation, tourism, and employment in Italy, Ryanair once again urges the Italian government to eliminate the municipal surcharge at all Italian airports, thereby further stimulating traffic, tourism, and job growth.

“If the surcharge is removed, Ryanair will respond by adding 40 aircraft (representing over $4 billion in investment), 20 million additional annual passengers, and 250 new routes, supporting 15,000 new jobs across Italy.”

Paolo Papale, Director of Aviation Development at Torino Airport commented: “Ryanair plays a significant role in the growth of our airport.

“Also, thanks to Ryanair flights, winter 2025/2026 will be the busiest ever for our airport. New routes are being added, such as Liverpool and Pescara, and there will be significant increases in frequencies to many destinations, including London Stansted, Madrid, Dublin, Porto, Brussels Charleroi, Copenhagen, Malta, and Marrakech.

“Finally, many snow routes have been confirmed, such as Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, London Luton, Manchester, and Shannon, dedicated to skiers from Northern Europe who choose our mountains for their winter holidays.”
