Ryanair is to change its on-board baggage policy for the second time in the space of a year; the airline will restrict what passengers can carry on for free.
The Irish carrier will change its policy from November and only allow one mid-size bag on its aircraft. This s a change from the previous allowance of one large and one small cabin bag, free-of-charge.
Essentially, the limit of carry-on luggage has been reduced by nearly two-thirds. Passengers will have to pay an extra fee if they wish to carry more onboard.
Passengers will have to fork out an extra 8 GBP to have a bag heaver than 10kg stowed in the hold.
The airline stated that the change is not to increase revenue but to keep efficient time.
