Ryanair Group posts 13% passenger traffic rise in June

The Ryanair Group grew its passenger traffic by 13 per cent in June to 14.2 million as network growth and the inclusion of Lauda boosted figures.

Irish low-cost carrier (LCC) Ryanair itself flew 13.6 million people in June, one million more than the same month last year. The passenger load factor was unchanged at 97 per cent.

Austrian LCC subsidiary Lauda, which the Ryanair Group took over full control of in January this year added 0.6 million passengers to the total. The load factor was 96 per cent for Lauda in June.

On a rolling 12-month basis, the Ryanair Group has flown 146.5 million passengers, 10 per cent more than the 132.9 million rolling annual total at this time last year.

In June, the group operated almost 78,000 scheduled flights.
