Ryanair sees traffic rise 13% in February

Ryanair’s traffic including Austrian low-cost carrier Laudamotion which it took full control of in January – grew year-on-year in February by 13 per cent to 9.6 million passengers.

The Irish low-cost carrier reported that it carried 9.3 million travellers, a nine per cent increase with a load factor of 96 per cent while Laudamotion contributed 0.3 million with a load factor of 94 per cent.

On rolling annual basis, Ryanair has carried 141.2 million passengers, a nine per cent increase on the previous 12 months with a network load factor of 96 per cent.

The airline said it operated over 53,000 scheduled flights in February with over 93 per cent arriving on time (excluding ATC delays) – “delivering the best punctuality of any major EU airline”.
