S7 Airlines appoints Vadim Klebanov as CEO

Russian carrier S7 Airlines has appointed Vadim Klebanov as CEO to succeed Vladimir Obyedkov, who has stepped down from the role.

Klebanov has headed Globus Airlines, S7 Group member, for the past five years.

Within the next few months, he will unite the two S7 carriers, Globus and Sibir Airlines, into one company. The Globus fleet will be transferred to Sibir’s air operator’s certificate by year-end.

Meanwhile, S7 Airlines will start a new daily route from Moscow to Milan on 25 December, 2019. The link will operate from Moscow Domodedovo Airport utilising an Airbus A320.

S7 Airlines operates direct regular flights to most regions of Italy, including those to Rome, Naples, Turin, Catania, Bari, Genoa, Pisa, and Cagliari from Moscow, as well as to Verona and Olbia from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
