Oman’s low-cost carrier SalamAir has unveiled a new subscription-based flight membership, mOVemore, aimed at offering frequent travellers predictable pricing and greater convenience across its domestic and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) routes.

The airline said the new product provides fixed fares and discounted access to priority services, airport check-in, and a 20kg baggage allowance, all bookable directly through its website and mobile app.

Flexible packages for regular travellers

With mOVemore, passengers can choose from two membership tiers that cover SalamAir’s domestic and regional destinations. Members can subscribe on a monthly or bi-monthly basis, selecting between six or twelve one-way or return flights to suit their travel needs.

Flight prices remain fixed throughout the subscription period, regardless of market demand. For instance, customers purchasing 12 domestic trips will pay 9.9 Omani rials per trip (excluding taxes), a rate guaranteed even during peak seasons.

A first for Oman’s aviation market

Steven Allen, SalamAir’s Chief Commercial Officer, said: “It is designed to reward our passengers by reducing their travel costs. Traditional loyalty systems reward passengers with points that can be difficult to redeem.

“Our mOVemore product removes the guesswork by offering flat-rate pricing and other benefits that make day-to-day travel predictable and affordable.”

Allen added that the initiative aligns with SalamAir’s broader fleet expansion plans, which will see the airline grow to 25 aircraft by 2028, allowing the carrier to extend the membership’s reach to additional destinations.

“Whether for business, family, study or leisure, we are giving customers a better way to plan their trips and save more. This product is designed to enable our passengers to move more and save more,” he added.

Supported by travel tech partner Caravelo

The launch is being delivered in partnership with Caravelo, a global leader in travel subscription technology.

Iñaki Uriz, Chief Executive Officer of Caravelo, said: “We are thrilled to partner with SalamAir to bring this innovative subscription model to Oman.

“The Middle East is a key growth market for flight subscriptions, and SalamAir’s forward-thinking approach with mOVemore sets a new standard for customer-centric travel in the region.”

SalamAir said the membership will strengthen customer loyalty and offer unparalleled value for frequent flyers, positioning the airline as a regional innovator in the low-cost travel market.
