Salvador Bahia Airport receives seal of Ethnic-Racial diversity

For the second year in a row, Salvador Bahia Airport received the Seal of Ethnic-Racial Diversity, granted by the Salvador City Hall’s Reparation Secretariat to organizations that develop actions to promote racial equality. The Seal establishes guidelines and commitments for signatory companies with regard to combating institutional racism and promoting equity in labor relations.

Among the actions implemented at Salvador Bahia Airport in 2019 that led to the seal was the Diversity Committee created to develop and implement actions not only in the context of people management, but also in the institutional context.

Our committee has as its main objective to ensure the 6th item of the Together! Manifesto, through which VINCI Airports, the network of which Salvador Airport is part, is committed to diversity and equal opportunities, but this does not limit us. We want to fully impact the airport community and, why not, the city, the state, the country” says information security expert Marcele Santos, a member of the Diversity Committee.

VINCI Airports brings diversity as one of its values, seeking to combat all forms of discrimination in the hiring, professional relationships and career development of its employees, including welcoming people from different backgrounds in their leadership positions” states the Human Resources Manager at Salvador Bahia Airport, Isabela Dantas.
