Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, has announced a major expansion of its international flight network, adding more than ten new destinations in 2025.

The newly introduced routes will connect travelers to Vienna (Austria), Venice (Italy), Larnaca (Cyprus), Athens and Heraklion (Greece), Nice (France), Malaga (Spain), Bali (Indonesia), Antalya (Turkey), El Alamein (Egypt), and Salalah (Oman).

These additions will bring Saudia’s global reach to over 100 destinations across four continents.

This strategic expansion follows a 16% increase in international passenger traffic in 2024, demonstrating the airline’s commitment to enhancing connectivity and catering to growing travel demand.

The newly added cities offer a mix of leisure, business, and cultural attractions, further strengthening Saudia’s presence in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.

Engr. Ibrahim Al-Omar, director general of Saudia Group, highlighted the airline’s growth strategy: “Following last year’s operational success, we have developed a strategic plan for 2025 to ensure continued excellence and meet rising international travel demand.

“Our new destinations were carefully chosen based on extensive feasibility studies and traveler preferences.”

The expansion is supported by Saudia’s modern fleet of 147 Boeing and Airbus aircraft, with plans to add 118 new aircraft in the coming years to further enhance operational capacity.

This move aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader aviation growth strategy, aiming to position the kingdom as a key global travel hub.
