SFO’s “Quiet Airport” program finds the perfect dance partner: a silent disco

The San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which launched its “Quiet Airport” program in 2018 to reduce terminal noise, announced the debut of a Silent Disco, in which passengers are invited to dance along to San Francisco-themed music using their own headphones.

Dubbed “San Fran-disco”, the silent dance party will run from February 14 – March 15, 2024 in the post-security area of Harvey Milk Terminal 1.

The “San Fran-disco” dance floor at SFO, will be positioned post-security in Harvey Milk Terminal 1 adjacent to the Johnston & Murphy store (identifiable by the prominent disco ball), attendees are then encouraged to connect their headphones to their mobile devices, authenticate to the airport’s complimentary Wi-Fi network, #SFO Silent Disco, press the play icon, and participants can enjoy dancing to a meticulously curated selection of songs with ties to San Francisco.
