As of 25 October 2020, Singapore Airlines will be operating a non-stop service between Singapore and Brussels. The attractiveness of the Belgian market and the quality of Brussels Airport’ infrastructure have convinced the Asian carrier to start operations in Brussels.

Following direct flights to Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok, Shenzhen and Hong Kong, Brussels Airport further strengthens its Asian network with a direct flight to Singapore Changi Airport.

We are delighted to welcome Singapore Airlines to Brussels Airport. Singapore Airlines is a world class premium carrier renowned for its excellent passenger service. As a key gateway to Asia, Singapore is an important new destination in our growing Asian network. We are pleased that the flights will be operated with the Airbus A350, the most energy-efficient and silent aircraft of its kind”, says Arnaud Feist, CEO of Brussels Airport Company.

We are excited to launch services to Brussels – a city that is both an important economic and political hub in Europe. This also represents SIA’s commitment to constantly expand our network reach and provide our customers with a more seamless travel experience,” said SIA’s Senior Vice President Marketing Planning, Mr Tan Kai Ping.

Currently, 11% of Belgian export is going to Asia and the trend is on the up. To support the economic growth of our country and our businesses, Brussels Airport aims to expand its network and further develop direct connections between Belgium and emerging countries.

Last year, about 44,000 passengers travelled between Singapore and Belgium. The direct route to Singapore therefor holds a huge potential for business travellers who place Singapore in the top 25 of most wanted destinations as it offers convenient onward connections to Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Australia, The Philippines etc.

Singapore Airlines will operate four flights a week from Brussels Airport using an A350, a next generation aircraft developed by Airbus as the most energy-efficient and most silent aircraft of its kind. Singapore Airlines’ flights will arrive at Brussels Airport on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 6.50 am and will return the same days to Singapore at 11.20 am.
