Frontier Airlines will service a further six new routes from Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) starting in April.
The low-cost carrier will start flights to Buffalo, Houston, Milwaukee, New Orleans, San Antonio in the US and San Juan in Puerto Rico bringing the airline’s total network to 15 from RDU.
All routes will be serviced using Airbus A320s. Frontier has nearly 200 more new aircraft on order as it aims to grow and modernise its fleet. By 2026, the carrier is aiming to fly 50 million passengers a year.
Frontier Airlines vice president of marketing, Tyri Squyres said: “The greater Raleigh and Durham communities continue to respond well to our Low Fares Done Right philosophy.
“We are proud to grow our commitment to this community and bring even more low fares to the area with now 15 non-stop, low fare destination options.
“We appreciate the continued support of the airport and the community and are proud to serve RDU with not only some of the lowest fares in the industry but also a good travel experience.”
