Southwest Airlines flight attendants to vote on new contract

Southwest Airlines Co. announced today a Tentative Agreement with the Transport Workers Union Local 556 for the airline’s nearly 19,000 Flight Attendants.

“Southwest’s Flight Attendants uphold our commitments to Safety and Hospitality by providing Customers with a safe journey and making them feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated,” said Adam Carlisle, Vice President Labor Relations at Southwest Airlines.

“I’m thankful for the work from both negotiating committees throughout this process and the guidance from our National Mediation Board federal mediators. We are all glad our Flight Attendants will soon have an opportunity to vote on this agreement.”

TWU 556 will communicate details directly to its members about the agreement and the voting timeline.
