In February, just over 2.2 million passengers travelled through Swedavia’s ten airports. In total, air travel increased by seven per cent compared to February 2025.
Demand continued to strengthen for both international and domestic travel. International travel increased by six per cent, while domestic travel increased by nine per cent.
Improved connectivity and continued growth in demand for air travel generally contributed to the positive development during the month. Ongoing uncertainties in the surrounding world may impact traffic trends, although it is still too early to assess the extent.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport, Sweden’s largest airport, had just over 1.6 million passengers in February.
This represents an increase of seven per cent compared with February last year. International travel increased by seven per cent to nearly 1.3 million passengers, while domestic travel increased by eight per cent to just over 330,000 passengers.
Göteborg Landvetter Airport had a total of 334,000 passengers during February, an increase of two per cent compared with the same month last year.
International travel increased by two per cent to just under 300,000 passengers, while domestic travel increased by two per cent to just over 35,000 passengers.
Swedavia’s remaining eight airports showed positive development with local variations in February.
Visby Airport, followed by Umeå Airport, developed the strongest growth among the regional airports, with increases of 24 and 16 percent respectively, compared with the same month last year.
Both Kiruna Airport and Luleå Airport exceeded pre-pandemic passenger volumes, with increases of two per cent at each airport. Luleå Airport also reached a new passenger record for a single month of February.
Bromma Stockholm Airport had a total of just over 4,000 passengers in February, corresponding to just over two per cent of pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
