Canadian ultra low-cost carrier Swoop has started a new international route from Hamilton International Airport to Puerto Vallarta International Airport in Mexico.

The carrier will fly twice-weekly on the sector utilising its Boeing fleet and will soon start a three-weekly route from Hamilton to Cancun on 14 January and Abbotsford to Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlán beginning 12 January and 20 January, both twice weekly.

The Mexico routes mark the fourth country that Swoop has flown to in under six months with its Boeing 737 fleet.

Established in 2018, Swoop is independently operated as part of the WestJet Group of companies, offering point-to-point scheduled service to 14 destinations in Canada, the US, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Swoop operates a modern fleet of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft. A total of 10 aircraft are expected in operation by the end of 2019.
