Yesterday, Virgin Atlantic’s fully-SAF powered Dreamliner landed in the US after it flew across the Atlantic from London Heathrow to New York JFK.

The flight, dubbed Flight100, was fully-powered by SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), making the “historic” journey the first of its kind.

Sir Richard Branson, founder of Virgin Atlantic, said: “It’s an exciting day – hopefully it will mean the start of a future where people will be able to fly on planes that are not emitting carbon. There’s still a long way to go, but we’re showing that it can be done.”
