The Aviation Fuelling Challenge starts on 1 October

The Aviation Fuelling Challenge (AFC) – the only international competition for aviation fuel supply professionals – will take place from 1-3 October in Belgrade (Serbia).

The event is organised by Gazpromneft–Aero, the aviation fuel business operator of Gazpromneft, and supported by IATA. The official partners of AFC are Gazpromneft’s subsidiary in Serbia – NIS and Serbian aviation service company, JAT Tehnika.

AFC features three individual nominations for aviation fuel-tanker drivers, shift supervisors, and deputy production chiefs.

The competition tasks comply with the international quality standards for aviation fueling: the participants submit tests in electronic formats to demonstrate their knowledge of theory and will also complete two tasks in each nomination.

The team stage includes practical tasks with time limits. The AFC jury panel comprises representatives of IATA and aviation fuel inspection association, JIG (The Joint Inspection Group).

This year, 10 teams from all over the world will also compete for the title of the best-performing team in aviation fueling:

They are: CNAF Limited and China Aviation Oil (People’s Republic of China); Petrolimex (Vietnam); Total (France); Gazpromneft-Aero and Bato – Rosneft (Russia); NIS (Serbia); OMV Petrom (Romania); Makpetrol A.D. (Macedonia); and Hifa Oil (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
