Turkish Airlines carried 7.2 million passengers in May 2024

Turkish Airlines carried 7.2 million passengers and achieved a total load factor of 79.8% in May 2024, the carrier has announced.

The airline reported international load factors of 79.3%, while the figure for domestic services was 84.2%.

The number of international transfer passengers increased by 3.6% year on year from 2.4 million in May 2023 to 2.5 million for 2024.

Available seat kilometres (ASK) climbed by 7.3% to 21.3 billion from 19.9 billion during the same period.

Since January this year, 32.8 million passengers have flown with Turkish Airlines – a 5.7% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

International transfer passengers for January to May rose by 7% to 12.6 million from 11.8 million last year.

Meanwhile, total load factor dropped by 0.8% to 80.4%, with 80% load factors for international flights and 83% for domestic services.

An increase in ASK was reported, rising by 10.8% to 100 billion from 90.3 billion last year.

Turkish Airlines’ fleet had expanded to 456 aircraft by the end of May 2024.
