Turkish Airlines has reported higher passenger and cargo traffic in December 2025, as capacity and demand continued to grow across its network.
The airline carried 7.3 million passengers during the month, with an overall load factor of 82.6%. Passenger capacity, measured in available seat kilometres, rose by 9.2% compared with December 2024, reaching 23.3 billion.
International services performed strongly, with the number of passengers travelling between international destinations via the airline’s network increasing by 14.1% year on year to 3.2 million. Domestic and international load factors were broadly similar, at 82.7% and 82.6% respectively.
Cargo and mail volumes also saw a sharp rise. Turkish Airlines said freight traffic in December increased by 15.9% compared with the same month last year, totalling 192,400 tonnes.
Looking at the full year, the airline carried 92.6 million passengers in 2025, up 8.8% from 2024. International-to-international passenger numbers rose by 12.8% to 35.7 million.
For the year as a whole, the average load factor stood at 83.2%, with domestic flights operating at a higher rate of 86%, compared with 82.9% on international routes. Total capacity increased by 7.5% to 273.2 billion available seat kilometres.
By the end of December 2025, Turkish Airlines’ fleet had grown to 516 aircraft.
The traffic figures include results from both the Turkish Airlines main brand and its low-cost subsidiary, AJet.
