Turkish Airlines has launched a direct route from Istanbul Ataturk to Aqaba – its second destination in Jordan – adding to a service already run to Amman.
The airline is the only carrier to operate the service, which started yesterday (19 March) and will be run three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Flights will then leave Aqaba on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
This route adds to others started as on 16 March, the carrier begun twice-weekly (Tuesdays and Fridays) flights to Samarkland, its second destination in Uzbekistan.
Both routes will be serviced utilising a Boeing 737-800.
