Turkmenistan Airlines resumes bi-weekly flights to Abu Dhabi

Turkmenistan Airlines has resumed a twice-weekly Boeing 737-800 route from Ashgabat International Airport to Abu Dhabi International Airport.

The flights operate every Friday and Sunday and the carrier’s reprensetative in the UAE, Ekayev Shohrat said the flights play a “key role” in the growth strategy of Turkmenistan Airlines.

Abu Dhabi Airport acting chief commercial officer, Saoud Al Shamsi said: “This additional service is part of our strategy to attract new airlines to our network that will support tourism growth in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.”

He added the flights are forecasted to attract around 20,000 passengers annually between the two cities.
