UK department of transport lifts cabin restrictions on certain inbound flights

The department for transport in the UK has lifted certain restrictions on what passengers can carry on board aircraft on flights from certain countries.

Large phones, laptops and tablets are now permitted on flights from: Antalya, Bodrum, Istanbul Sabiha Gokcen and Izmir airports in Turkey; Cairo, Hurghada, Luxor and Marsa Alam airports in Egypt and Tunis-Carthage International airport in Tunisia.

All passengers on inbound flights to the UK from the above airports will now be able to take the devices on board with them.

The department of transport is lifting restrictions on such devices on a airport-by-airport basis.
