The San Francisco International Airport (SFO) celebrated an announcement today from United Airlines detailing their summer 2026 flight schedule, the largest at SFO in the airline’s history.

This schedule increase includes 28 additional flights to popular domestic destinations like Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Washington, D.C.

By next summer, United will have more than 300 daily departures to over 100 destinations, including more than 50 daily average international flights to over 30 destinations.

Mike Nakornkhet, Airport Director said: “We are grateful for United’s continued commitment to SFO and the San Francisco Bay Area,”.

“Since the earliest days of our Airport, United has offered SFO travelers more choices to more destinations.

“On their 100th anniversary, United continues this tradition with the largest SFO schedule ever. We thank United for nearly a century of partnership in air travel.”

In 2025, United launched new nonstop flights to Panama City, Panama and San Jose, Costa Rica. On December 11th, the airline will launch seasonal flights to Adelaide, Australia.

SFO is currently working on the $2.6B Terminal 3 West Modernisation project, which will renovate the existing 650,000 square foot western half of Terminal 3, including a seismic retrofit, an expanded security checkpoint and new passenger amenities.
