Amidst a global aviation market facing shortages and rising travel demand, Vietjet is expected to add 10 new-generation aircraft to its modern fleet in the last months of 2024.
This expansion aims to meet its growing demand and serve passengers on both domestic and international routes.
The new aircraft, expected to be delivered from August 2024, are primarily the latest Airbus A321neo models.
In 2019, Vietjet became the first airline in the world to operate the A321neo ACF (Airbus Cabin Flex).
The A321neo ACF features an improved cabin design, ensuring standard seat dimensions and spacing, offering the best in-flight experience for passengers.
These aircraft also provide at least 16% fuel savings, reduce noise by up to 75%, and cut emissions by 50%.
Recently, Vietjet has signed a contract to purchase 20 new-generation wide-body A330neo (A330-900) aircraft from Airbus, valued at $7.4 billion.
Passengers will soon be able to fly on Vietjet’s new A330neo aircraft on longer routes.
