Vietnam Airlines to launch new routes to Thailand and Indonesia

Vietnam Airlines will begin direct flights linking Ho Chi Minh City and Bali (Indonesia) as well as to Phuket (Thailand) from 27 October this year, to serve increasing demand for flights on these routes.

The airline will operate flights on Ho Chi Minh City and Bali route seven times weekly. From 27 October to the end of March 2020, the airline will operate five flights per week due to operational restrictions at Denpasar Airport (Bali).

This is the second route launched by Vietnam Airlines that connects Vietnam and Indonesia, following services between Ho Chi Minh City – Jakarta since December 2012 with a frequency of seven flights per week.

Meanwhile, Vietnam Airlines’ third route connecting Vietnam and Thailand which is Ho Chi Minh City and Phuket will be run three times weekly. It is anticipated that this route’s frequency will be increased to daily flights starting March 2020.

Vietnam Airlines will also resume operation of Da Nang – Bangkok daily service starting 27 October 2019.

The new flights will be operated with Airbus A321 aircraft.
