Indian carrier Vistara has signed a deal with Airbus covering engineering and maintenance works for its Airbus A320s.
The contract, under the Flight Hour Services – Tailored Services Package, will encompass a wide range of services. These include component supply and repair as well as technical management services for the fleet.
Airbus says it will provide its expertise in maintenance, engineering, reliability and supply chain management.
The deal will cover the airline’s current fleet of 23 A320s, and 39 other aircraft currently on order.
Cirium fleets data shows that Vistara operates 10 A320neos and 13 A320ceos. The airline, a joint-6 venture between Singapore Airlines and Tata Sons, also has 39 A320neos and a further 6 A321neos on order.
Separately, Airbus Services has also launched a new training package for its airline customers, focusing on composite materials.
It will start with the A350 programme but will roll out the structures training programme to other aircraft types next year.
Airbus Services has already inked several agreements with airlines in Asia and Europe, but did not disclose which carriers they were.
