WestJet ratifies three-year agreement with WestJet flight dispatchers

Canadian carrier WestJet has announced that WestJet flight dispatchers have voted 90 per cent in favour of a three-year agreement.

They are represented by the Canadian Airline Dispatchers Association (CALDA) but the vote does not include WestJet Encore. The agreement starts 18 May, 2019 and expires 18 May, 2022.

“This agreement is beneficial for the long-term sustainability of WestJet, WestJet Dispatchers and our WestJetters,” said Jeff Martin, WestJet chief operations officer. “We thank our employees for their collaboration and openness to reaching an agreement.”

“This is a positive step in the right direction and a testament to WestJetters working together,” added Justin Jones, WestJet CALDA chair.
