Wizz Air has further expanded its Turin network by introducing a new international route to Chișinău, the third addition of the 2025/2026 Winter season.
Flights will operate starting from December 13, 2025, with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Tickets are already on sale on the airline’s website wizzair.com and via the official WIZZ app, with fares starting from just €19,99.
Chișinău, the capital of Moldova, is a vibrant city rich in history. Its appeal is particularly strong in the catchment area of Torino Airport, thanks to the strong cultural and commercial ties between the two regions.
The Moldovan community living in Piedmont is a significant part of the population, and starting from December 13, a new flight will provide greater flexibility in direct connections.
The announcement of the new connection from Turin follows two significant additions: the flights to Budapest and Sofia, both set to operate from October 28, 2025, with three weekly frequencies on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The carrier continues to invest in Piedmont by expanding its flight network and strengthening its presence at Torino Airport. Wizz Air will connect eight destinations during the 2025/2026 Winter season: the new additions of Budapest, Chișinău, and Sofia, the Warsaw ski route, and flights to Bucharest, Catania, Iasi, and Tirana.
The new connections are fully aligned with the Customer First Compass, the airline’s strategic plan involving €14 billion in investments over the next three years, aimed at improving the passenger experience, continually expanding the network with new routes and innovating the services provided.
Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, corporate communications manager at Wizz Air said: “We are delighted to continue offering new destinations to and from Turin, reinforcing our commitment to connecting Piedmont with major European destinations.
“The Chișinău-Turin connection follows the recent announcements of new routes with Sofia and Budapest, further highlighting both the opportunities Turin offers and the city’s significant role as a gateway to Northern Italy.
“With the launch of this new service, we offer our passengers the opportunity to discover two fascinating cities, in line with our slogan ‘Let’s WIZZ!’.
“This new route is part of our international expansion strategy, guided by the Customer First Compass initiative, which aims to offer more connections and innovative services for an excellent and personalized travel experience.”
Andrea Andorno, CEO of Torino Airport, said: “We are pleased to announce the Turin-Chișinău connection operated by Wizz Air.
“This flight highlights the growing appeal of our region, following the recent announcement by Wizz Air of two other new destinations: Budapest and Sofia, which will be connected to Turin starting from the next Winter season.
“These connections will meet the demand of leisure travelers while also addressing the needs of those traveling for work and study.
“Also thanks to the new Wizz Air flights, the 2025/2026 Winter season is set to deliver very positive numbers, connecting 22 countries and offering over 65 routes.”
