Wizz Air, Europe’s greenest and fastest growing airline, today announces the launch of two new routes including London Luton to Gran Canaria, and London Gatwick to the Bulgarian capital Sofia; as well as a frequency increase for flights between Luton and Tenerife.
WIZZ flights from London Luton to Gran Canaria, one of the largest islands in Spain’s Canary Island archipelago, will launch on 4 June 2020, with flights operating three times a week and fares from just £35.99. Known for its plush mountains, sandy beaches and range of microclimates, Gran Canaria is the ideal destination for both relaxation and adventure – whether it’s a family beach holiday or a weekend hiking trip.
Launching on 1 June 2020, flights between London Gatwick and Sofia will operate daily with fares as low as £30.99.
These new low-fare routes in WIZZ’s UK network means WIZZ will offer 105 routes to 60 unique destinations across Europe and beyond. Tickets to both destinations can be booked from today on wizzair.com or on the WIZZ mobile app.
Owain Jones, Managing Director of Wizz Air UK, said: “It is great to see our UK network go from strength to strength, with the addition of two new routes which will provide UK passengers with even more low-fare travel opportunities. For the first time WIZZ will be offering customers the opportunity to visit the beautiful island of Gran Canaria, which offers year-round sunshine and diverse landscapes. Sofia is another destination which has something for everyone – from art to history to a lively nightlife scene. We look forward to welcoming old and new passengers on board our young, green and ultra-efficient aircraft to discover these fascinating destinations.”
