Wizz Air delivers record growth in 2025

Wizz Air has closed the calendar year 2025 with growth, an expanded and refocused network, and continued improvements in operational performance.

The airline added new aircraft, opened hundreds of new routes, and carried record passenger volumes, while also strengthening punctuality and reliability across its network.

József Váradi, Chief Executive Officer of Wizz Air, said: “2025 was a defining year for Wizz Air. We expanded our fleet at pace, opened hundreds of new routes, and carried more passengers than ever before – all while strengthening the reliability of our operations.

“This combination of scale and improving performance is exactly what sets us apart.

“In 2026, we intend to go even further. Our focus is firmly on accelerating growth in Central and Eastern Europe and unlocking opportunities in markets that remain underserved and full of potential.

CALENDAR YEAR 2025: EXPANSION AND RECORD PASSENGER DEMAND

·    42 new aircraft joined the Wizz Air fleet, supporting continued network growth and improved fuel efficiency

·    The airline operated close to 335,000 scheduled flights across its network

·    Wizz Air launched more than 320 new routes, expanding connectivity across Europe and beyond

·    Passenger demand remained strong, with 68.6 million carried passengers in 2025 (+9.4% y-o-y)

OPERATIONAL PERFORMANCE: RELIABILITY AND PUNCTUALITY IMPROVEMENTS

Wizz Air continued to strengthen its operational performance throughout 2025, supported by targeted initiatives in maintenance, ground handling, crew planning, and operational control.

Key operational metrics for calendar year 2025:

·    Completion rate*: 99.61% (the second highest across major European carriers)

·    D15 departures*: 73.38% (among the ten highest ones across major European carriers)

·    A15 arrivals*: 77.98% (among the ten highest ones across major European carriers)
