Wizz Air is celebrating reaching a landmark milestone: 1,000 routes across its ever-expanding network. The airline now connects 200 destinations in more than 50 countries across Europe and beyond.
To put the scale into perspective, even flying a different WIZZ route every single day, it would take nearly three years to experience the airline’s full network.
This achievement crowns a year of exceptional growth. In 2025 alone, Wizz Air launched over 300 new routes, reinforcing its role as a key driver of connectivity and regional development across the continent.
The 1,000-route milestone follows two other historic achievements: the fleet surpassing 250 aircraft last November and the airline welcoming its 500 millionth passenger just yesterday.

As previously reported, 2025 marked a year of strong, focused expansion for Wizz Air. The airline further reinforced its core markets while extending its footprint with its biggest-ever network including dozens of new leisure routes and new bases in Bratislava, Warsaw Modlin, Chisinau, Bucharest Băneasa, Suceava, Târgu Mureș, Tuzla, Podgorica and Yerevan – laying the foundation for continued growth in the years ahead.
The expanded network has and will continue to significantly improve point-to-point connectivity, linking underserved cities and regions directly while keeping fares affordable.
This has supported tourism growth, job creation and greater mobility across Europe and the neighbouring regions.
