Wizz Air to close Poznan base early 2019

Wizz Air is planning to close its base in Poznan, the western Polish city, on March 30, 2019 before the busy summer period next year.

Five routes served out of the base in Poland will be dropped following the cease of operations, these include: Dortmund, Reykjavik, Keflavik, Birmingham, Malmo and Stockholm.

Six routes between London Luton, Paris, Eindhoven, Doncaster, Oslo and Kiev will still operate to the Polish city via the Hungarian carrier.

The base in Poznan was opened in 2008; Ryanair, Enter Air and Ryanair Sun have since established bases in the Polish city.
