Low-cost carrier Wizz Air has partnered with travel and technology platform Kyte to share its travel content with corporate and leisure travel sellers from this month. The airline can sell tickets and products directly to travel management companies via Kyte’s application programming interface (API) platform.
Kyte delivers cost-effective distribution channels for low-cost carriers to connect with the wider travel ecosystem.
Its unified API platform makes content easily accessible for travel sellers. This allows them to build connections with airlines and offer fare bundles for their end users.
“At Wizz Air, we are constantly looking for innovative ways to bring our ultra-low fares and services closer to our customers,” said Silvia Mosquera, Wizz Air’s chief commercial officer. “Partnering with Kyte allows us to open a new chapter in corporate travel distribution.”
This is an unprecedented step in flight and ancillary content distribution.
“I’m extremely proud that Kyte is partnering with Wizz Air to become one of its first distribution partners via the Kyte API,” said Alice Ferrari, CEO and co-founder of Kyte. “It’s great to see Wizz leveraging its advanced distribution platform.”
63.4 million passengers have flown with Wizz Air this year to date. The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircrafts.
