World Fuel Services (World Fuel) has announced the successful delivery of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) to Turkish carrier, Pegasus Airlines.

This milestone represents a significant step in the airline’s use of SAF throughout its network as it continues its mission to reduce its environmental impact.

In October 2023, World Fuel and Pegasus Airlines finalized a ground breaking deal.

Under this agreement, World Fuel will supply 200 metric tons (MT) of SAF to Pegasus Airlines over the first six months of 2024.

The supply covers 1% of Pegasus Airlines’ total fuel requirements. On March 8, 2024, World Fuel delivered the first load of SAF to Pegasus Airlines.

The shipment totalled 128 cubic meters (m³) at a concentration of 36.6%, resulting in 47 m³ of neat SAF.

London Stansted Airport (STN) receives the SAF shipments for Pegasus.

The delivered SAF is sourced from Neste MY Sustainable Aviation Fuel, a high-quality alternative to conventional jet fuel.

Neste’s SAF is produced from renewable feedstocks and significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions.
