Vietjet’s first direct route from Vietnam to Japan touched down on 8 November – the first codeshare flight to be operated between the airline and Japan Airlines.

The carrier started a daily Airbus A321neo route from Hanoi International Airport to Osaka’s Kansai International Airport.

Vietjet departs Hanoi each day at 01:40h and arrives in Osaka at 07:50h. Coming in the other direction, the flight takes off in Osaka at 09:20h and lands in Hanoi at around 13:05h (all local times).

The new service to Osaka brings the airline’s total number of international routes up to 64 with a network that spans to 11 countries.

Vietjet will soon launch two other routes to Japan from Vietnam including Ho Chi Minh City-Osaka (Kansai) from 14 December, 2018 and Hanoi-Tokyo (Narita) from 11 January, 2019.
