Willie Walsh, IATA’s Director General: “I congratulate airBaltic and all the winners of the 2022 IATA Diversity and Inclusion Awards.

“They are clear evidence that the aviation industry is committed to improving gender diversity.

“More importantly they provide inspiration to drive even more ambitious change faster.

“Achieving gender balance is the right thing to do and it is good for business.

“In fact, it has never been more important as now when we need aviation to be an equally attractive career choice for women and men in the ramp-up post-COVID-19 travel restrictions.”

Overall, since 2013, airBaltic has maintained a full gender balance throughout the company.

Currently, 47% of airBaltic employees are women. At the same time, also 45% of airBaltic’s top management representatives are women.
