FlyBosnia will fly from Sarajevo International Airport to London Luton Airport starting 24 September, the first direct link between Sarajevo and London.

The route will start as a three-weekly service utilising a 150-seat Airbus A319 with plans to increase the sector to seven times a week over the next 12 months.

British Airways last flew from London to Sarajevo, Bosnia Herzegovina, 12 years ago.

FlyBosnia currently flies to Riyadh (daily), Jeddah (once a week), Bahrain (once a week), and Kuwait (three times a week) while regular flights to Rome and Paris are expected to open in the next three months.

The carrier was launched last year and has already flown 20,000 passengers and has plans fly around 100,000 passengers next year.

In March, FlyBosnia signed a letter of intent for an additional three Airbus A319 aircraft. Two have been delivered and a third will arrive soon. It plans to have a fleet of eight aircraft by 2023.
