Gazpromneft-Aero increases retail sales of jet fuel in Russia by 13%

Russian aviation fuel provider Gazpromneft-Aero has increased retail sales of jet fuel in Russia by 13 per cent, according to figures released for the third quarter (Q3) this year.

The company has increased its retail sales to over two million tons of jet fuel in Q3. The total volume of jet fuel sales increased by nine per cent and exceeded 2.8 million tons.

The company’s international fueling volumes through reselling have increased by 18 per cent YOY to 168,000 tons of jet fuel. Gazpromneft-Aero’s international distribution network has expanded to 257 airports across 66 countries.

The company continues to invest and in since the start of the year, the volume of investments amounted to 770 million rubles. The funds were spent on the introduction of automated control systems for the improvement of production and business processes as well as the modernization of fuel stations in compliance with international standards.

Gazpromneft-Aero chief executive officer, Vladimir Yegorov said: “According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, the volume of passenger traffic increased by 9% in 2018. The volume of retail sales of jet fuel also increased by 9%. These statistics lead us to expect that the total sales of fuel in the Russian Federation will grow at the end of the year to the level of 2014.

“In addition to the overall positive market dynamics, Gazpromneft-Aero’s retail sales stem from the development of cooperation agreements with airlines and aviation fuel suppliers in foreign markets.”
