Indonesian Airlines to Increase Flights on Jakarta-Belitung route ahead G20 DWG

Belitung, Indonesia Belitung Isla The (ANTARA) According to the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), national airlines will expand the number of flights from Jakarta to Belitung in order to facilitate the G20 Development Working Group (DWG) conference in Belitung Island, Bangka Belitung Islands, on September 7-9, 2022.

“The flight frequency on the Jakarta-Belitung route will be increased during the period from September 5 to September 11, 2022,” Bappenas’ Deputy for Development Funding Scenaider Clasein Hasudungan Siahaan stated.

“The H.A.S Hanandjoeddin Airport in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung, is ready to assist in ensuring success of the G20 event in Belitung Island.”

Airlines that will increase flights are  Garuda Indonesia, Sriwijaya Air, Citilink Indonesia and Batik Air.

The G20 is an international forum made up of 19 countries and the EU that work together to discuss major issues.

Indonesia is holding the G20 Presidency this year.
