Menzies Aviation has renewed a contract with WestJet Airlines at Toronto Pearson International Airport – Canada’s largest and busiest airport.

The two-year agreement will see Menzies deliver ground handling services to Canada’s second largest airline at its main operational hub, where Menzies currently has over 400 employees stationed. Menzies is set to handle 41,116 aircraft turns per year for the duration of the contract.

WestJet has been a customer of Menzies for five years, and also delivers ground handling services to WestJet at Saskatoon International Airport and Ottawa International Airport as well as at Toronto’s other gateway, Toronto City Airport.

Chief executive officer Giles Wilson said: “WestJet is a valued customer of Menzies so I am pleased that they have chosen to extend their relationship with us in Toronto.

“This contract renewal demonstrates that our strategy of growing key accounts organically is bearing fruit, and I want to thank the Menzies team in Toronto for continuously delivering a premium service which keep customers coming back time after time.”
