Ryanair’s traffic grows 8% in August

The Ryanair Group’s traffic August grew by eight per cent to 14.9 million as the low-cost carrier continues to fly more passengers than ever before despite strike action.

Ryanair itself flew 13.3 million, eight per cent more than August 2018 with a passenger load factor of 97 per cent.

The group’s Austrian subsidiary Lauda contributed 0.6 million passengers to the total, 20 per cent more than 0.5 million in the same month last year. Lauda’s load factor was 96 per cent in August.

On a rolling 12-month basis, traffic is up 10 per cent from 135.5 million in the previous 12 months to 149.2 million.
