Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) is to expand its partnership with Helvetic Airways and will deploy up to eight Embraer E190-E2 aircraft or similar on its route network from 2019 onwards.

The deployment will be under a wet-lease arrangement.

SWISS said the expanded collaboration “reconfirms the high quality of Helvetic Airways’ services and its premium partner credentials” and provides greater planning security and ensure the optimum utilisation of the Helvetic Airways fleet.

Helvetic Airways CEO, Tobias Pogorevc said: “We are proud that SWISS is putting its faith in our company and our efficient and comfortable Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.”

Four Embraer E190s of Helvetic Airways are currently in service for SWISS. The aircraft are deployed on SWISS flights to over 40 European destinations.
