Auckland International Airport, the largest airport in New Zealand, has closed due to heavy flooding caused by severe weather.
The airport, which is located on the North Island, has experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds over the past few days, leading to significant flooding in the surrounding areas.
As a result of the flooding, the airport has been forced to cancel all flights, both incoming and outgoing. The airport’s management has stated that the safety of passengers and staff is their top priority and that they are working closely with local authorities to assess the situation and determine when the airport will be able to reopen.
